I started my artpath in 2004. I went to art shows and said, "I could do that!" Untrained in art skills, I purchased traditional materials and found that I could NOT "do that!" I found my own artvoice when I started using nontraditional materials, like cosmetics.  I love red, and tried using red nail polish when I ran out of red paint.  I started using nontraditional applicators - like chopsticks - and nontraditional application techniques - like baking smaller canvases in my oven - when I couldn't figure out how to execute traditional methods.

Story Coin Jewelry is the name of my Real coin & stone jewelry line. 

I started my jewelry in 2007. A gentleman friend took me to a coin show ... and I was bored silly.  However, I was fascinated by the boxes of old coins from centuries past, coins with images of animals, and the mystique of foreign lands.  I found fistfuls of coins with holes already drilled in them, bought a $5 jewelry kit from WalMart, and wove the old coins with old stone jewelry I had never discarded.  I teach classes so everyone can now have the fun of wearing your treasured heirloom coins!

A Booke of Words is the name of my Threaded envelopes & haiku cards jewelry line. 

"Words have meaning.  Some words have more than one meaning.  And that is the fun of A Booke of Words."

Writer's Block bedeviled me for a few years ... until Tina Haase-Findlay, jazz queen extraordinaire and creative muse to the Heartland, inspired me again.  I never played with haiku, but I am drawn to Asian art forms because my mother's father came from Japan.  I started writing haiku greeting cards with unique computer graphic images, then I created the technique of threading and handpainting envelopes to house and send my cards. I teach haiku classes which direct learners to focus their thoughts and hone their wordcraft in the style of Japanese economy.  I'll create memorable wedding invitations your guests will cherish for years.

WriteWords is the name of my freelance writing business. 

My words have made money for small business owners and multinational corporations through grants, textbooks, websites, radio and TV ads, print ads, advertising copy, poetry, plays, music, marketing, short stories, corporate documentation, and technical writing.  My words can make money for you, too.

Outtake is the name of my performance income stream. 

I've traveled 48 states and a baker's dozen of countries singing, acting, hosting radio programs, and being Father's magic assistant!  I love to partner with individual vocal artists and groups of any size to make music and produce innovative, high-quality stagecraft in professional venues, schools, churches, and community events.   I know I have the voice for radio - you'll have to decide if I have the face for radio!  (old joke)  I was also the first professional full-figure model in the Midwest, and mentored and taught other professional models.
